To be honest this is the Mp3 mixing clinic...most of the people here are awesome when it comes to mixig, absolutely awesome. In terms of osngwriting worthiness, maybe visit the singwriting forum? You might get more replies.

Whoops my bad - long day!

What did you record on/with? It seems a little lo-fi.
The piano intro is a tiny bit jumpy but not in the right places for my sensibilities.
The string pad is a bit daggy for that placement in the mix.
Why is the mix so off centre for such a long intro - it'd be better to centre then pan out when the other stuff comes in.
The strings fit better when there's more happening.
No bass definition on the piano or bass - if there is one.

The guitar sound isn't too flash.
This is a good sketch - you should re do it with your new gear.

Thanks Rayc..........it was recorded on a porta-studio a few yrs back......when I transfered the tape to the computer,it lost a lot of it's tone....plus the tape was old.........I did it with an old radio shack keyboard and a guitar.........have much better stuff now.. :) so I'm gonna give it another shot and see what happens................
