I have one of Greg Mackies early masterpieces, the Tapco 6200B, and would like to know from someone if the stiffness in the pots can be cured. I heard these are sealed and probably can't be lubricated. When I sit it upside down for a day or so they become very, very, stiff. When I turn it rightside up for a day it returns to an easier feel. I think the temperature also changes the action. There must be some thick dried-up lube or something in them. Anyone know anything about such an animal?

Hahaha, i never thought there would be a day when i would meet someone else with a TAPCO mixer. ha, i have the 6100a and 6100r add on its 14 channels. it is great for analog, i asume that is what your using. but i have expanded to digital and im looking to sell this noise maker.mine does the same thing with tempature, i took it apart to see if i could fix it. but it didn't work. i just found a big spring. sorry i cant help you out. ive retired my TAPCO. e-mail me if you or you know someone that wants to buy this thing.
