I have been up and down this forum plus Sonar and PreSonus sites as well.
Main problem: During play back of recording, I hear popping and clicking sounds.
System and Components used

Sampling rate in Sonar is set to 44.1k. I have tried adjusting the buffer from Fast and Safe and in between. Audio driver bit depth is set to 24. Tried it at 16, too.
The Sonar Drivers find the PreSonus audio drivers without any problems.
I have also tried setting the playback i/o buffer size to different settings. 128, 256, 1000, 2000, etc, but that doesn't help either.
Lastly, I tried changing the driver mode from WDM/KS to ASIO, but that didn't do anything.
I am stuck...any ideas? I have turned off virus software, wireless card and radio as well...
Getting frustrated...

System and Components used
- Sonar 7
- PreSonus Firestudio Project
- WinXP - SP3
- Dell Laptop Latitude D520
- Intel Centrino Duo 1.66 GHz Processors
- 3.2 GB of RAM (supposed to be 4 GB of RAM, but XP has eaten some of it)
- 250 GB Hard drive
- XP is on one partition, everything else on the other partition
- PreSonus connects to laptop through a Firewire cardbus card. It's firewire only. I am using my Ipod firewire cable...
- I am using the PreSonus as the sound card and using that driver
- I disabled/uninstalled the SigmaTel sound card that comes w/ computer.
