Oktava M1 and M3 heads.

so are you saying it makes things sound low fi and noisy (cool but not worth $379) or are you saying it sounds like SHIT!
that was pretty funny but some serious responses would be nice too.
 
actually I'm just teasing you man. I've got a couple of Oktava's and I'm not a big fan. perhaps, and only you know your budget, you would be ahead to save your cash until you can afford better mics. Of course it really depends on what you use the Oktava's for, like everything else in recording, you match the source to the mic.
 
I got the M1 and it was good, but I don't think it was worth the cash. I returned it. The Sound Room will let you try one out. You should do that.
 
that sounds good. there are so many great microphones for $400 that i don't see the point in putting down that kind of money for something that doesn't even sound so great. sounds like the money would be better spent on Rode/Audio Technica/Shure type things.
