now its pretty much established that beyer dynamic DT100 are the standerd affordable headphones. but what about drum mics.
what do you think is the best (but affordble) snare mic, tom mic, overheads and kick drum mics, and of course the workhorse - (which im sure most would agree is the sm57) opinions please.

There are as many answers to this as there are mics..........!

there are so many possibilitys its huge but i was interseted in what peoples opinions were. everyone has a favorite mic,or piece of equipment that they love and adore and would recommend to anyone and everyone - i was woundering what these mics etc were.

For me, it depends on the drums, the way the particular drummer plays his kit and the context/music style of the tune the drums will go in. I wish I could give you an easy answer but there insn't one.

i've found that every mic i have can be put to good use as long as you know what your doing - i guess ive just anwserd my own question - u need a good idea how to use the equipment as well as the 'perfect' mics

kick: D112
snare: sm57
toms: sennheiser md421
overheads: no standard, way too many options, (but the akg c451's seem popular)

However, none of these mics would be my first choice.
