It looks like all that's left is talent :). Seriously though, it looks to me like you have every all the basics you need to get started. Rest assured, you'll always be able to find something else to buy. Are you going to use fruity loops as your sole sequencer to create beats and trigger samples? Are you going to record any live instruments to make your own samples? Any interest in MIDI? The only thing I would say is that you're limited to one stereo channel by your sound card, but that should probably be enough flexibility for what you want to do, and you probably already made that decision when you bought it.

Good luck.

true. Sounds like you have a pretty decent setup. Mixing desks are for people who need to:

1) record a bunch of tracks at the same time

and/or

2) want to mix with it (instead of mixing in the software) and/or use their outboard gear with it.

For what you're doing, I'd say you're ready to dive in. If you've got some cash, save it for when you're knee-deep into it and go "shit!! I need a _____" ...it happens to everybody.

Your all set. You might want another mic or 2 to play with but you definately have the basics covered.

Stop frontin' and start rhymin' fool. ;)
