What about an interface? You aren't just gonna plug that mixer into a computers onboard audio are you?

Exactly. The glaring omission from your shopping list is an interface to feed from the mixer into your computer. Depending what you have, built in interfaces range from "pretty bad" to "dire". Also, most nowadays only have a microphone input while the output of your mixer is line level, i.e. around 40-60dB too hot for a mic input. (To put this into perspective, 20dB means 100 times too hot, 30dB means a thousand times too hot--you do the math!)

To go a bit deeper, you probably don't need a mixer at all. A basic interface that can provide phantom power would be enough, especially since you still need an interface to feed the mixer into your computer anyway. The other option might have been a mixer with built in USB output. Both Behringer and Alesis do USB mixers at the bargain end of the market (and others do them higher up the range).

As for the rest of your list, no problems. I'm no great fan of Monster Cables, not because there's anything wrong with them but simply that they charge about 3 times the fair price just for their name. However, I gather that in the USA they have a lifetime replacement warranty so if you break the cable 3 times you're in good shape!

..might have spent more on that cable than the mixer. (the up side it's prolly a good one though. :o:D

Hey welcome too.

..Many are called Few are chosen

Interface aside, I think the glaring omission is a LONG mic cable...

10 feet ain't going to get you very far from all the noisy stuff...

False economy - get a 30 ft one FFS...

Good catch. I saw '100' and didn't even... ;)

such as one of these Behringer UFO202 Audio Interface
or like a m-box type deal?

Just to be clear, the UFO 202 would function as an input from the mixer into the computer. However, it wouldn't replace the mixer as it has no microphone inputs or phantom power. It would be an unbalanced connection from the mixer via Phono/RCA connectors but, if the run is kept short this shouldn't be a big problem.
