The system I listed will give you 16 inputs and 24 outputs (the 24 outputs are bi-directional to and from the computer/mixer :D).

sorry everyone. My connection hasn't been working.

I've looked at Digi 002 online and the Roland 2480, just to see

I would like the websites to the top of the line soundcards. Is there an expensive one that really shines above everything, considering all other components the same?

Thanks!

On the sound interface issue, I recommend the RME Hammerfall. I was dying to get my hands on one, but could only afford a used Delta 1010 (that works great and I love), but since cash doesn't seem to be your biggest issue, go for the best, right ? ;)

PC:
AMD Athlon XP 2200+
ASUS A7S333(with sis 745 chipset)
256MB DDR333 Ram PC2700
60GB ATA 7200rpm
nVidia Geforce4 MX420 64MB with TV Out
40x12x40 CDRW

up the ram to 512 of pc2700
drop the gforce and switch to a matrox 450 dual head video card (the dual monitor quality will be much better)
and go with one 30 gig ata133 7200rpm harddrive for windows, and other programs, and a second 40gig ata133 7200rpm harddrive for your audio data. Split that 40 gig harddrive into 2 or 3 partitions. one partition about 10 gigs and the other what ever you want. the 10 gig harddrive section will be the audio section. smaller drive for faster defrag and the like.

I am not sure about that sis chipset...not a big fan of the sis stuff. But i have no experience with that motherboard. I like soyo boards like the dragon kt333. Havnt had a problem with it so i tend to stick with things i know.
