Ragtimey fingerstyle version of Sitting On Top Of The World... Have at it!:D

Does it mean I can download it and try add something to it? ;)

By the way I like this finger picking stuff.

Hey, be my guest! I did about three slide guitar tracks and ended up scrapping them.

I just wasn't sure about the "Have at it" part because DavidK just posted some colaboration thing with you. That's why I asked.

You probably just asked for critique. :o

This tune just made me reach for my harmonica (in D).
I'm by no means a good player, just made me want jam with it thats all.

this is some great Americana...
If you could clean up the hiss...maybe use a metronome/click track, and get rid of a tad bit of the nasal raspy-ness happin' , give this some N.Y. polish (but not toooo much, mind you), this tune would really be there. You just need some more fidelity to it... Not to make that the primo issue, because the music does that...it just needs to get up to par... I mean...imagine a stellar sound...keep the feelin'......you'd be the next Mr. America!!

other than being about 100% more talented, and about 100% better at recording than me, it was like you was sitting in with us this past Wed. nite at the jam. I'm loading "Level Headed Dancer" as I type. If it gets on within the next 30 min. I'll have it on. You'll like it as much as I liked "Sitting". One of our favorites, by the way. Damn, this is fine music. Do "some folks" hear something different than what we here when we partake of this genre of music? Or is it just myself reading something that makes no sense? Huh. Drunk again! Sorry.

real cool

I love that style. You played it so well. Real relaxed and confident. My brother used to do that kind of finger picking and i would just sit and watch in amazment. Good show.

well...maybe the beverages change the angle...

however, the uniqueness of the genre has nothing to do with critiquing audio fidelity, chops, and creative writing and soloing,....does it??

What kind of beer to you record with??? maybe that's a variable.

hey tree,
hey mix, no disrespect here. I always look forward to your comments. You tell it like it is, and man you sure have a lot more experience and knowledge about this stuff than I do. Most people on here take this recording thang a little more serious than I (we) do, but that's another thread.

But damn man, where would this genre of music be if it didn't have that "nasal rasp-ness" thing going on. he he he he he he
And I'm sure we could use some "N. Y. polish" sausage in all of our songs. Goes good with beer. he he he

Just funning with you dude. I just bought a Tascam 788 and can't wait to get it here. Gonna try some digital recording. Should help with my act a little. You think?

Just kinda thinking after writting this. But I guess every time I load up a tune here I'm actually funning with everyone that listens. he he he

I really like that ragtime thing you do. I have to agree with mixmkr about the timing issues. I'd love to hear you work with a click track but even without it I enjoy your music. I really liked Walkin' in Jerusalem too. Good hangover music. :D :(
