OK, Alesis, Beringer, Lexicon, Zoom, or Other?

Ok,

Sam Ash is having a big sale Thursday, I don't have a proccesor. Looking for reasonable price. If reasonable price and quality don't coincide, I will wait.

I only want to buy one proccesor in my lifetime.

I would like the experienced to advise.

You should'nt have NEVER told me that! I work less than 3 minutes walkin' distance from Sammy's, I got some money to spend and will p/u a RNC and a coupla'other goodies.
I own a Behringer DSP 1000 and now lookin' at a Lexicon!

Sorry --- there is no such thing as "...only one processor in my lifetime...". Can *NEVER* happen -- doesn't exist!!!

Deal with it, accept it, and start saving your money now for your next processer purchase...........

The young guy an Sam's likes the Nano Verb, is this bad. I looked at the Korg Kaoss pad, looks like fun, very compact, most parameters are actually adjusted by touch screen, what could be easier. The Nano Verb guy says it's only for DJs but I read some great things about it at Harmony Central.

Nothing is ever hooked up to listen to, and even if it was, enviroment is not good to judge.

Hey GT, Lexicon MPX100@ $199, Zoom RFX100 and 200 @ $159 and $189 respectively. Behringer DSP1000 @ $79.00. These prices should be reduced by approx 30% on Thursday!
I'd check out the Lexicon!

GT, I didn't get a chance to check out the Kaoss pad,
but Alesis has this new crazy-ass device called the "AirFx".
Just mive your hands or any part of your body thru the 3D infrared sphere and you can get about 50 tripped out effects. it also modifys any audio signal you process thru it in real time. Sells for $199.
 
Well, I just called Sam Ash on BIG Thursday. I CANNOT BELIEVE they don't open until 11:00 a.m.!!!! Makes it tough on those of us in other parts of the country that have to get to work. That work-thang is really crimpin' my style.

I think I'm going to get the Zoom RFX-300, desktop proccesor.

It's the only one that can double as a stereo mic pre, and a proccesor at the same time. If the effects are any good, that makes it incredible bang for the buck. $100.00, and that's not even the sale price. Seems to have a lot more going for it than the Nano Verb, at the same price.

This will be my very first proccesor, man am I excited.

If anyone has one, let me know what you think.

GT, waaaaiiiiiittttttt! Manny's Music (which is a division of Sam Ash and is rite next door to Sammy's) has it on sale for $50.
Rite now, I'm a little pissed at Sammy's! Their sale doesn't start until 5pm EST and ends at 10pm EST. I get off
work at 4:30 pm and gotta p/u my daughter from school so I won't be able to check out anything unless they continue their sale 2-morrow!
 
I was wonderin' about the deal with this sale thing. I called Sammy's at 10:00 CST and the prices they quoted on gear were no different from any other on-line supplier. May try again after 5:00 EST. Hang in there Mr. Q !

Thanks, I haven't left yet, I was going to head down to Sam's a 6:00. I tried to get manny's online, but I couldn't get through.

I thought if I could get a printout of the price you quoted, Sammy would have to match it. That would be a fantastic price. Would you do me a favor and see if you can get Manny's online, and let me know. Meanwhile I will keep trying.
