OK you guys are in for a treat tonight. My first ever recorded singing attempt. That means you guys are the first to hear me sing ever!

Anyways. Great song. Although it seems kinda corny now, I suppose I'd like to dedicate this to the victims of the Virginia Tech shootings.

Still in the mixing process, so bear in mind. I'd appreciate criticisms on the singing and the mix in particular. Enjoy!

The mix seems to be leaning to the right side a bit...... I like the abundance of reverb - I am a reverb junkie..... Not a bad mix so far.....

Singing critique as requested - I like your vocal tone. I think the performance could use some tightening up. The doubling vocals could be more in sync. A few pitchy spots at the beginning. I would keep at it though if I were you, because you have a good voice, it just takes practice...

Yep, it's cool, what's been said about the singing is pretty good advice.

One qualm I ahve and it's probably a personal thing, is the volume shifts, it seems to go from uber loud to quiet, which I knwo is part of the dynamics and effect but I think either the loud bits are too loud or the quiet bits are too quiet!

Oh, and what happened to "How many more?/Why?" etc at the end?

I'm a big NY fan. That said, there are a few pitch problems (like Neil can sing). Good production though.

thnkas very much for the help. i think you may be right about the mix leaning to the right. i think i might have screwed something up with a panning envelope somewhere....

thanks for the crit on the vocals too. i knew there were parts where it was pitchy(lol like...every part) but ya i just got sick of singing it over and over again. i experimented for the first time with autotune, but quickly realized it had no place in this kind of music. there might be a couple places where i'll turn it off and on with an envelope though....or just try re singing it.

as i said before im still working on the mix. ill let you guys know when i post a new mix.

oh ya telepaul. i thought of that too. i had like 6 vocal tracks of me at the end going all at once...it was getting pretty trippy but kinda cheesy too. maybe ill get some buddies to come over and sing some parts with me to thicken it up.
