OFFICIAL COMP CD RELEASE DATE!!!!!! FRIDAY, AUGUST 22nd!

Ok, I now have a firm release date. I actually have tracking info now and the artwork will be back to me on or before August 21. Thus, I will be making the first shipment on August 22!

Oh well, 3 weeks late....but that's better than last time where it came out roughly two years late :)

To those who are out of the loop -

* I have all 300 sets of CDs. They're real CDs, screen printed & the whole nine yards. They are in boxes in my office!

* I am waiting on artwork to come back from the manufacturer (e.g. jewel case artwork & booklet).

* I have jewel cases and packing supplies for 100 units.

* I have ~80 orders to ship right away.

* I have to manually put the sets together and package them. Probably do the bulk of it the weekend of the 22nd with my family. But for sure Dragon's copy and maybe the first 5-10 copies will go out Friday, August 22.

you, my friend, are da man. thanks for your hard work. can't wait. I saw the copy at the fest, but didn't get to hear any of it. I think I was at "camp michi-bob" when they were checking it out.

Could you kindly redirect me to the ordering info thread. Same routine as last time, I suppose [?]. I still have the previous MO info here, with me. I'll be popping for the HR-CDII, asap. It will be great, I'm sure. 300? That's a LOT! Dang!

That's great news. Thanks Slack. 81 pre-orders isn't bad at all. We should have a cd release party and get a bunch of the HR members featured on the cd to perform at it. I bet we could unload a few more.

Slack, you should come over to The Zebra on Saturday night the 23rd if you're free. My band and I will be playing there that evening after 10pm. We will also be performing the song I submitted to the project, though in a different arrangement. We will have trombone this time.
I will personally reimburse you for the cover charge if you can make it...maybe you could even hand deliver my copy of the comp cd to me. That would be so cool. Besides which, it would be great to meet you in person. I haven't met anyone from the bbs yet.

Yo' Slack, I gotta' admit, I talk a WHOLE lotta' crapola @ work!

Lately, with JAMFEST3,Comp C/D2,Roel hanging out with me at my office, and my constant trips from office to Sam Ash & back, several co-workers have expressed interest in COMP2 with some under the impression that it will hit their local record stores (I WONDER where they got that idea from ?......hmmmmmmm:rolleyes: ;) :rolleyes: )!
1 particular co-worker wanted to know when the c/d would be available as he & his wife are connisseuors(?) of all forms of music and would luv to own a c/d where they know 1 of the so-called artists. I informed him that at the present time c/d's are available by mail-order only as negotitations for small-retail record outlet distributions are ongoing and an agreeable resolution seems far-off (again.............hmmmmmm).

N-E way, I intend to start taking paid pre-orders from various co-workers with the selling point that they are contributing not only
to the HR.COM cause and the supporting of unsigned artists, but to....ahem.........show support for one of thier own in his goal of "Making It To The Big Time"..........me!:p ;) :p
My question to you is; If/when I send you a money order for X-amount of c/ds' via 1 day mail ,sayyyy by 8/26, how long can I expect arrival of c/d's to my address!!?? Just to give my co-workers a estimated time of del'y to them!

Good question Q, let me get back to you on that once I start shipping.

It depends on the following:

1) How long it takes me & the wife & kids to assemble all these things.

2) How long it takes to package and physically ship.

3) How much money I have in the comp cd fund at any given time.

I will say that you should be looking at a 2-4 week turnaround from the time you drop the order in the mail. When HR1 started shipping I got most orders off within 7-10 days.

I will have much better information come monday morning!!!!!

I'll relay info to peeps at work (I'll add another week for good measure) and start up sometime Thursday! (I wanna' have some kinda' order form like the Girl Scouts do!)

Since next week is pay week, I will start taking Comp C/D orders from the so-called co-workers in this god-forsaken company.
 
That'd be great Q, we still need to sell a BUNCH to cover the jewel cases and shipping of the remaining 200 units.

Right now I've got about $250 in the comp cd funds, and I have to buy 200 more jewel cases, shipping boxes, and then have the necessary funds to ship!

We'll make a good profit for the BBS if we can move these suckers!
