Hey guys,
I just finished putting up a second version of Officer Mean last night after all the good input I got on the first version.
It's not band approved, it's more something I took upon myself. I activated the download just in case you want to burn a copy to hear on other systems.
The compression is still questionable, but I'm starting to get used to it. What I really did there was trigger (via key inputs) the compressors on the guitars to the kick track of the drums. But only enough to get some lite pumping going on.
Officer Mean
List of changes are as follows:
-Metal drum pattern was altered during the intro
-Uneeded guitar fiddly bits where simplified during the breaks
-The breaks where modified in hopes of better flow. Shaker track added in trying to get a supporting rhythm going on in those parts (I'm probably going to rework that, sounds kind of cheesy).
-Electro FX modified for the second prechorus, removed for the first. (kick and scream...let me out)
-Reprogrammed the drum pattern towards the end of the bridge (in a jimmy eat world kina way) to setup for the last chorus. Keep in mind, these are still live drums. No samples.
-Snare up 2db during choruses
Again, I really appreciate the extra set of ears and input. (Good insight ray and bob)
