hey,

I got the Behringer Composer PRO-XL and I'm wodering how to set it up right...

it has an input and an output, and the manual says to use the channel inserts on my mixer... do i need a TRS 1/4'' that splits into two 1/4''? or do i use aux send from my mixer to the input on the compressor, and then attach the output to the channel insert?

I've tried running sound through it and playing, but I can't seem to make it work

Technically compressors are supposed to be on your inserts... which means you need an insert cable (the TRS to dual 1/4" you are describing). The TRS end is both an input and output--performing a "LOOP" through the compressor when you attach it to the inputs and outputs.

I wouldn't mess with the aux's unless you are compressing subgroups of instruments. You *could* do it that way but technically aux groups handle multiple channels... for example with reverb.
