nuendo 2.0 - multitrack mistiming

I am trying to record multiple tracks on nuendo 2.0. I can record once fine, but when I try to record another track over it, the timing is off. How do I change the sync on this program so that this doesn't happen? Any other tips? Thanks.
 
I'm a little confused. Are you using a click track? Also, what soundcard/interface are you using. There could be latency issues.
 
I was not using a click track. I also do not know how to work that very well...it turns off when I start recording. But I am using an Audiophile 2496. I have recorded over things using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and it is fine. But I had to change the timing in audio options to use my sound card for timing. Is there some similar problem with Nuendo?
 
Yes, you need to change the buffer settings to bring the latency down. It is all covered in the manual.
