I use n-track. i love the interface. Is there any reason I should use cakewalk?

p.s. - i'm a little unhappy with skipping I get in n-track when I'm doing many tracks (20+), would cakewalk perform better?

I am impressed with the N-track software, for the price it cannot be beat. If it works for you, why fix it? I prefer CW because it offers many features that I have gotten used to over the years.

What kind of features does CW offer that n-track doesn't?

i would have to say n-track if you dont require a lot feature and you want to get your feet wet.

features

can you give some examples of cakewalk features i mightwant to use?

to much to list goto the site look under pro 9 and it will list all the feature of what it can do.

I am used to the editing features of cw and also file management, not to mention metronome settings and import/export of file types. These things make it very easy to create loops and arrange songs from your samples. As an example, you can take an 8 bar verse with a simple change or two, and turn it into a completed 4-5 minute song with a few mouse clicks.
As for features, I look at my 500 or so page manual and think, there is to much to list.
