Hi guys.

Everytime i power off my alesis ra100 or my interface, my ns10s give out a worrying enough pop.
I know blowing tweeters on these things isn't exactly uncommon, so i'm wandering;

Is it normal for the amp to do that, and if so, is there anything i can fit inline to protect from it?

I'd thought about just fitting a pair of switches on the speaker cables, but i figured they might cause a pop too?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

i dont know what might be causing it, but my ra-100 has never had that problem. however my monitors are aleseis monitor one mk2's. so i dont know if that makes a difference.

ok,thanks for the info.

I've noticed if i flick the on/off switch with what i can only describe as 'great authority', it doesn't pop.

Maybe i need a new switch, or need to give it a clean.

definitely a possibility. the pots on my RA have a little scratch to them but only when i move them while audio is playing and once i get to the volume i want it doesn't pose a problem. so maybe a good cleaning wouldn't be a bad idea.

yeah, i've got that on my own unit....

maybe it's just cheap tat? :P

thanks man.
