NPNG preamp info sought and thoughts

Anybody know anything about the NPNG preamps? They sound very interesting and I would like to learn more about the design.

Here is a photo of the front panel. I like the LED meter. -30 dB to show you have a signal , -6 to +6 and overload. What a great idea. I might add a really bright blue led that only lights at 0dBFS to say "You're busted" (H'm I should trademark that idea)

Lots to learn from just the front panel.

So if you know about it post it - The schematic would be beyond expectations, a photo of the PCB would be exciting....

Wow, 33 discrete transistors and $1125 per channel! Too rich for my blood, and I probably wouldn't be able to follow the schemo.

Sometimes people ask me "how does your mic compare to this other mic that costs $2,000/pair?" Dude, if I could afford that mic, I wouldn't bother with selling mics . . . I wouldn't work at all!

It's funny though, I doubt any of the transistors in that box cost more than $0.30 (probably $0.10), but by the time you hand-select 132 of them for a box, not to mention the passives, I guess that drives the cost up a lot . . .

It is amazing, even if you are building a simple project, using quality parts add up fast. If you look at one part, you might think that it is not expensive, but once you start adding up all those little parts, the end cost can be eye opening.

Trust me, I have a pretty good idea They don't buy a handful at a time, they would buy thousands; the cost is much lower. I even usually buy passives by the thousand and transistors by 250 or 500.
