Here is another tune that was recorded in Mike's basement studio by our three piece band:

This song was written by Mike (mjhamil) and it's called Nowhere to Run

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=578794

mjhamil - Vocals and Bass
ido1957 - Guitar
Lee - drums

This is a "live" cut so again, there's a bit of bleed through the microphones.

Any feedback you can give us on this is greatly appreciated.

:D :) :D :)

Cool tune man,

The kit is a bit distant, the guitars and bass is cool.
Perhaps some verb on the guitar would be jolly :)

I like the live jam feel to this tune.

The lead guitar is wee bit loud, great sound and playing though

cheers mate

Sounding really good man. I agree with Nak on the drums...if you could bring them up a littl, or maybe compress the whole mix...if that doesn't ruin it. Vocals sit well though...nice job there.

Cool song. I like the vibe...kind of modern blues/rock. Nice.

Lead is a bit loud compared to the rest of the song. Sounds awesome, just needs a bit of taming.

Nice one man.

Yeah nice live feel. How many mics are you using all up? Drums sound a little thin, but if you've mic'd the kit then that's easily fixed.

Heh I've just noticed Ed's avatar is bouncing in almost perfect time with this.

Great tune man, very Claptonish. Guitar & vocals sound real good

Hey ido, another live cracker!

I'd love to have those live drums. And the arrangement and performance sounds awesome.

Adding to what the others have said, on my system it sounds as if the guitars overwhelm the rest. If you took them back a notch the vox and drum levels might fall more into place. Towards the end of the song this doesn't seem to be such a problem.

Good songwriting too.

Nakatira - Thanks man, this was the first mix so we'll look at the kit and guitar volumes...

Dogman - Thanks for checking it out... mjhamil (Mike) is looking into remixing the other one (Sympathy) and compressing it as you recommended so probably do the same on this one. The mixes are similar...

Bulls Hit - Glad you liked it, we're going for a good live mix. Drums were mic'd above and in front so he should be able to pull them up in the mix. Thanks for the comparisons - I think Mike writes some great tunes.....

aspiring - Yes live drums really make a difference don't they. We're hoping to make time for more recording with him in the future - work permitting. Thanks for the kind words about the writing and playing...

I think the consensus is going to be bring up the drums and bring down the guitar. We'll try and do a remix of this and post it for your review.....We're also busy with newer songs that we wrote during our vacation but busy is good...

:) :D :) :D
