Is this you?! It's insane - incredible production.

Sorry, I couldn't make it to 1:01 before I moved on. There's no groove, there's no melody. It's a bunch of electronic effects with that annoying trap "snare". The vocals are the equivalent of a shredder on speed... just a barrage of words. It's pretty much what I dislike about much of today's music.

Give me AWB - Cut the Cake, Temptations - Ball of Confusion, Marvin Gaye - What's Going On or Bill Withers - Use Me, and I can't turn them off.

This is me?! (with one of my boys helping out).

It's pretty simple and didn't take too long to put together but it came out ok given what it is.

Seeker of Rock seemed to like it...
I'm definitely interested how you went about the production side of things if you don't mind embellishing a bit.

UK Grime is certainly not for everyone! It came from the youth on the council estates of London and is all about the lyrics and the delivery of those lyrics and that gives the flow and can be considered the 'groove and melody' of the track, the beat is important but secondary.

This is actually pretty perceptive of you. The vocal is an attack and delivered in a barrage intentionally.

Fair enough. My dad grew up in Naples Italy listening to Neapolitan songs and didn't like what I listened to when I was young, he just didn't get it and much of today's music is just noise to him. My mum on the other hand loved all types of music old and new and, thankfully, I inherited that from her.

Lots of good music in the 70's. There's also plenty of great modern songs out there in diverse genres that I don't turn off!

I don't know what to tell you, there's really nothing of note to it. The lyrics were written by me and refined with help from one of my boys, the beat is produced electronically without the use of any 'real' instruments and the video (made in DaVinci Resolve) is just one clip from Grok of an alien giving the middle finger, played backwards and forwards starting at the end of the song so it finished with the 'gesture' at the right time. The whole thing was done in around four hours as a response to some Seeker of Rock posts in another thread that I may have taken offence to at the time and he called me 'shady' so it seemed fitting.

I liked it for what it is, but like you said - there's not a lot to it. I'm not a fan of the music, but I can appreciate the craft being well done. It's just basically multi-layered rhythms w/ the vocal patter punching out a rhythm line. Talking castanets could do similar. :D

But the production is good. Well balanced, not too loud, and pro sounding.
