Just picked this up from Cash Generators for 40quid (retail £130ish).
All clean and correct but no discs, still, downloaded the installer and all went like paint on my W7 i3 HP laptop.
Seems to work ok. Bit more of a standing reading on Samplitude Silver from the pres than I would like (used to neg 101 and the Ka6!) at about -76dBFS. Plays back the Sam S demo nicely, plenty of headphone level for a bus powered device and there are two independently controlled HP outs to boot. Only one XLR mic input but comes with a load of FX software. I shall probably ship it off to son in France as it looks more versatile than his Fast track pro.
Anyhow impecunious noobs! If you see one about give it a go, works fine on Win 7.
Dave.
Hold the presses!!!!
The XLR mic input has virtually no gain, is noisy as frik and a bit distorted. I am taking the box back and picking up a Focusrite i86 for £110.
But don't let this put you off a Nio i noobs! I got a bad 'un, they are great value if you find a second hand one for $50 or so.
