A client came in and recorded the guitar and vocals. Nice sounding voice. Its the same 3 chords the whole song tho. I couldn't tell what was the verse or chorus. I tried to use instrumentation, reverb and delay automation to separate the two and create some emotion. Not sure I succeeded?!??!

Damn. Link isn't working for me...? I wanted to hear this. :(

Me too - there's something up with site attachments recently.

The link shows as a gif. Well almost. WTF? Maybe it was just to good,

'really sad face emoticon'

It's the perpetual "Attachment No Worky" syndrome that never seems to get fixed.

Bummer. I may repost it later. Or not, you're not missing much.

Tried to repost using my soon to be gone iDisk. Freaking Apple!!

I wouldnt worry about what it is! It sounds very chill to me. I think thats what its about, and it does it well. The stuff you did, really did help tho. I think it flows well.

Maybe move the panning of the lead guitar parts once or twice for more image? just thos little fills..... i like the ending alot!

Very nice song a great production. I'd love to achieve that level of sound. Lead guitar sounds fantastic as do the vocals. What reverb did u use on the vocals?

Thanks, u are kind.
I forget what I used on the vox. A lexicon hall or plate. Not sure. I have found that eqing the verb goes a long way. Find the sweet freq in the vox and boost that in the verb. Also mess with the decay.

Wait, so you added everything other than the guitar and vocals? Wow. Nice job. I think it sounds really good.

I was surprised by the guitar panned off like it is, but I actually think it may be fine like that?

Although the song does kind of blend together a bit, I think you did a pretty good job differentiating between the verses & choruses. It's subtle, but it's there.

Yes. Except the drums. Those are hand placed samples, but we have a drummer lined up for the remainder of the EP.
Yeah, I don't mind the guitar panned out. Whenever I play live I'm usually standing in a corner somewhere. :)

I agree - it really does sound very very good. I had a couple of listens!

I found some of the echo delay on the vocal a little brash - maybe it could do with being pushed back and/or eq'd a bit so it interferes with the main vocal a bit less?

Everything else was pretty much perfect for me.
