Slowing becoming un-noob.
So I have a pedal that when rolled back on the volume knob on the guitar, it has a fantastic clean. Very sparkly and it's just nice :)

So that being said. Would there be some sort of way to have a switch that I could literally just press in order to make it so the volume knob is a certain amount down to get to the clean sound fast (as opposed to heavily overdriven..the pedal is a double muff by the way.)
I was even thinking of maybe there being a way to have it so there is a completely different "side chain" of volume pots and such...maybe a small knob that adjusts what level I want the "volume switch" to switch the volume to.

So if that made any sense. Thanks guys. (gals?)

if you really want to mod your ax, sure you could. you'd have to use an ohm meter to measure the resistance of the sweet spot on your volume pot, then install a switch with a series resistor of that same value that bypasses the volume pot.

I sent you a PM. There are plans online for exactly what you are looking for.

A simple volume pedal??
Maybe? Never really worked with them.

Yeah, I guess I'll scratch that idea then.

I realized that my overdrive pedal needs to be either first in my chain or after true bypass pedals. So I'd need one with true bypass. So what ermghoti suggested is probably what I'll go with eventually. Thanks though!
It's easy to make such as pedal. By the time you've bought the enclosure, switch, jacks, pot and a knob, you're half-way to just buying one though.

Hm, yeah, I'll probably end up going with that pedal whenever I get the money.
Thanks!

Thanks for all the replies.
