Hey, I'm fairly new to recording and I'm having some trouble getting it to sound good. Especially the electric guitar.

Here is my setup and chain:

Marshall AVT100 Half-Stack
SM57 (Tried Millions of Postitions)
M-Audio Audio Buddy
Behringer UB802 Mixer
ME-50 Multieffects Unit

Chain:

Guitar -> ME-50 -> AVT100 > SM57 > Audio Buddy > Mixer (Not Needed, I know) -> Soundcard -> Cool Edit 2.0

Here's the recording:

Thanks in Advance guys, any help would be appreciated greatfully.

I use an AVT150 and it is hard to get a real "warm" sound out of it, but I would suggest first, getting rid of the effects box for the recording (unless you REALLY need it for distorton), then turning the distortion way down. Crank the mids, turn the bass down and go easy on the highs. It may sound thin at first, but double the guitars and pan them to the sides- it'll sound much bigger.

I can back off of the highs, but the mids are up there already. And I use the multi for effects, not distortion. And the guitars are double tracked and panned.

Sounds pretty good. Everything seems to be pretty loud. You might just try remixing, and kepping the volume down a bit on each individual track. That will give you some headroom. Sounds like some of the sounds are fighting for space. I liked the tones of things, but it got a bit muddy. Good playing.
