Alright Michael, "rock on", Ha! Man, sometimes I think I'm getting senile. I could have sworn your location said Vermont. Too many members, and locations to remember. Ok, I get it now. I was picturing your backyard covered with snow! I envy you. Your in Austin. Wow, you have a wealth of music and musicians there. Better hurry up, $ are passin you. :D (Oh, carriage house, thats what stuck in my brain)Funny how the mind adds 2 + 2=6. Sorry bout that. Well good luck with the slab.
fitz:)

Yeah, Austin's a great place for music and musicians. You can see numerous live bands any night of the week. Tons of venues too.
And when SXSW gets in full swing things can get pretty fun!

And now it begins ...... Years from now articles will be written in EQ, Recording Mag, etc describing the humble beginnings of Michael Jones' recording studio. Who could have known it would rise to become such a dominant force in recording history? Who could have known, who could have known? ........ (begin trailer) :D :D

Yeah I can see the headlines:
"The ATF standoff at the Michael Jones studio now reaches it third week, with no end in site."

That's just wrong!!!

Although this probably is this best time to build the secret escape tunnel...

It looks like it's gonna be a good sized place, though. I'm certainly jealous. Especially since that Starflight helicopter just loves to buzz my apartment when I'm trying to record something.

Yeah.. Michael's studio LOOKS like it will be a decent sized place... but by the time he gets done doing his quadruple insulated 3 wall, offset stud, resilient channel, 2 feet of dead air space, free standing, full floating, 4 feet of bass trap etc...

Let's see... by my calculations... carry the 4... find the square root... hmmmm....

He should have a cozy 3 foot by 2 foot live room :D

2'-9"x1'-8" actually; but damn it'll sound good!

I'll bet... hope your air exchanger works well... in THAT small of a space with most "musicians" the fumes could be toxic!

Now is a good time to re-evaluate your marriage before the foundation dries ;)

Not to mention the gun turrets, the aforementioned escape tunnel, the diesel generator, fresh and grey water supply, MRE storage and armory.

Those will all be underground, except for the turrets and they're roof mounted.

Maybe you could use the gun turrets as reverb tanks during the "off season".

As for the water supply... he lives in texas... they don't know what water is :)

Ahhh... the joys of construction...

I *just* got back from looking at my new house being built. I've been waiting six weeks for our front door to arrive.... it arrived today... AND ITS WRONG!!

I called the contractor and he acted like *I* was bothering him.

*sigh*.... is it too late to get a gun turret on MY house!? :)

Your apartment doesn't happen to be next to the heart hospital like mine does it?
