Noob with a pair of Monitors

So I've got a small gig coming up soon and thought I'd get a couple of monitors. Since I'm just starting out and don't exactly have a lot of money, I bought a pair of Kustom KPC10M's assuming that I'd run outputs from a mixer directly into the monitors and also the venues PA system. I'm not exactly sure of what their set up is yet, but I was wondering if I need to buy a power amp or two in order to get going. If anybody couls help that'd be awesome.

I might also get another pair, so would I need another amp for those as well or can I 'daisychain' them together. Also what amp(s) would you recomend for a poor man just starting out. By the way, the group will be background music at a Christmas party playing jazzed up versions of the standards-if that helps any.
