I am using an old version of cep---just trying to get my bearings and do some research into what later programs I require---

So I try to record some stuff---sounds great when monitoring, but the volume is cut in half when I play back-----and I believe the signal is pretty substantial.

I am using my br-532 line into my sb live card.

Also---have plugins gotten much better in recent versiosn of cep because they suck in this one. (1999-2000) I know it was a lifetime ago....software time that is.

Try downloading the tryal version of CEP at: http://www.syntrillium.com

Your recording levels in the volume control is set differently than the playback, try re-adjusting them.

I have to admit I don't know what you mean by br-532 line, but I also have a sb-live card and CEP works perfect for me as it needs to. You see, I'm a live stage performer and I use my own backing.

I really don't know if the plugins have gotten better as I don't really need to do much of what I do in CEP.

Hope this helps a little.
