ok, so I just have three tracks of drums that I want to export as an mp3. How do I do that? Do I have to make those three tracks into one stereo track first? If so, how do I do that?

Every time I try exporting the project, it says something like " you need to set your left and right markers first!" or something....

Please help~!

Hey brosef. Your left and right indicators are found along the top of the screen.....you have to drag the left one to the strat and the right one to the end of your track. If you've done it right, there'll be a blue line along the top and if you've done it wrong, it'll be a red line...Anything contained within the blue markers will be exported. When you've set them, go to File-Export Audio File- Stereo Interleaved, 24bit. That'll export the mix as a stereo .wav file...you should use another program to convert to MP3...I tunes is useful for that.

yeah, something in the back of my head tells me that you need another program to export to MP3. Wish I could tell ya where a free one was.

well, back in the day when i was recording with a radio shack mic and Audacity, I used a program called Lame.dll I think, Ill try to find that tommorow and see if that works.

yep, all you need it an mp3 codec installed in your cubase folder.

i guess i probably answered one of my questions...

travis, how does one do that?

I tried to do it in LE the other night (one of the options was MP3) and it sounded like ass. And I never cuss on these forums! Totally clipped out and distorted. Other .wav exports were working.... any ideas? I did record pretty hot. (-2 or -3 dB on a few tracks...)

Have you got i-tunes? You can convert a wav to mp3 in that.
