Hi I've had this mic for about 15 or so years and it hasn't had much use. I got it out today to record and there is an intermittent rumble that happens. It's reasonably low but noticeable even when I'm playing and recording my guitar.

I have an NT1A too. I notice that even when that rumbling is not present in the Se2A it is has a small amount of hiss which is way more that the NT1A.

I've tried changing channels and leads and none of this helps.

I'd be grateful for any help with this please.

Many thanks.

Has it been unusually humid where you are? I've had condensers start generating noises after being stored in high humidity for a while.

Hi, thanks. The humidity here in the uk has been in the eighties with some short spells of lesser humidity. It's been in it's flight case for a long time.

I'll put a desiccant sachet next to the capsule overnight.

Thanks again
