I have a behringer bass v-amp, I was told I could not run it thru the system because it is to noisy, (sand sound ) what do I began to look for ? When I play the bass v-amp thru a regular amp it is not noisy, any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks, Leaderman

Behringer bass V-Amp

Thanks for the reply, Let me start from the beginning, I play a Washburn bass, I purchased a beheringer Bass V-amp, We use headphones and I use an Aviom personal mixer, No amp, we just run into a direct box out to the main mixer board, We are not allowed to use our amps on stage, says the Sound Tech, I really like my V -amp, because it gives me the sound I really desire. The sound tech told me the V amp was to noisy in the house speakers
and I could not use it, When I use it in a regular amp at home , it is really quite, What can be the problem, I think I know part of it but I don't want to cause problems.I was told it has a really bad sand noise , Thanks for the help.

The sound tech is either lazy, a liar,an idiot, or combination of the three. V-amps have noise gates and are very quiet when running direct into a mixer.
