This is driving me nuts..

Any amplifier (everything from a flextone II XL to a RedBear mke60 full tube amp) I drag into my house and plug in turns out so bloody noisy!

Even without any instrument plugged in, the noise is just too bad..

The noise is like.. Okay, imagine standing outside in a storm.. :p

Everywhere else, the amps are totally silent..

..Help?..

Your outlets are two prong instead of three......... right? If they are three prong then you have somehow lost your ground on that circuit. If you have a tester check the voltage from the hot to ground at the outlet. If the meter reads "0" then you have no ground. As you face the outlet the "hot" is on the right and the "neutral" is on the left.

well..

Okay.. I'm norwegian.. the term "prong" is totally new to me:p

please explain?:)

thanks for taking the time to give me some help btw=)

hehe..

If the term "prong" is referring to the number of "holes"(or inputs) in the outlet.. then its 2 prong.. or holes... or .. something.. :p

he said prong

The prong is the "male" end of the cord that plugs into the hole. A 2 prong receptical would have 2 holes. So , yes.

Any you definately have grounding problems.
