Noise in the Lexicon LXP 1

I just got the LXP 1, bought it used and it has digital noise in output. Does anybody know what could cause the digital noise or what it would take to fix it.
 
When do you get the noise? When you're sending a signal to it, when there's no signal, or both?
 
The noise is always in the output, even if you send a signal or not, you can hear the noise in the volume, it gets louder as you turn it up. There is always a noise never any silence.
