I use Pro Tools with my Mac. I recently upgraded my computer. Before, I was using a recording mic that needs phantom power, and it worked great- no background noise or anything. Now, I'm using the same microphone with the new computer and it makes all kinds of noises that sound like wind rushing by the mic. I have already upgraded my drivers, I've "ungrounded" all of my electrical conections for the computer and mixer, but the noise is still there. If I use a microphone that doesn't need phantom power, there is no noise. How do I get the nosie to stop?!!!
