I just recently bought a Rode NT1-A condenser microphone for home recording, went out and bought a mixer making sure it had phantom power. The mixer is a Behringer Xenyx Q502. I have the phantom mic line in plugged in, then just my headphones to hear whats coming through the mic, but nothings happening. I have phantom power on, and well as "To Phones" but i dont get anything, Ive tried a bunch of things but nothing will get me sound form the micro phone. I know its not the mic because I used it on the bigger bixer i have downstairs, am i doing something wrong, i dont believe that its the phantom power, the mic requires Phantom P48, P24, and the mixer supplies a switch able +48/+15 V phantom power supply for condenser microphones.

LEt me know if you guys can help! Thank you!

Are you getting any meter indication of mic input?

no thats the thing im not, but i did a test on my computer for the ehadphones and i see the input lights up when the sounds coming through that way, but not the mic

The NT1A manual implies that the mic requires a minimum of 24 volts of phantom power.
