no sound when I playback on Ableton

Hey,
sorry, it hasnt been long since my last problem, but now I face another.
So, yesterday, after I had just soved my problem (see my last thread) I recorded a few guitar tracks layered just to test it. it all went fine, sounded good, and I deleted it as it was only a really quick mess around.
However, today, I set all the mics up to record drums, I could hear them through my headphones, sounded great, I clicked record one Ableton, recorded fine (the soundwaves had appeared on the track) but then when I played it back there was no sound?!
I am using the behringer xenyx x1222usb connected to my laptop, the headphones are plugged into the mixer/AI obviously, and I can hear it through the mixer, so is there something I need to change in ableton?
btw, I use the live lite 7 line 6 studio version.

no worries, I've figured it out, and fortunately it wasnt a thing that anybody could have suggested out of the blue, so good thing I realised :)

do you mean that as in you have a xenyx mixer and it is not very good or you are just not very good at playing?

Actually, I better explain that I didn't mean either. I was joking around. Don't want anyone to think I was making a statement about the xenyx mixer. I don't even know what it is.
