no sound input in Sonar

Hey Guys,
Just reinstalled sonar on new dell pc with win xp. Guitar is hooked through soundcard as a line in. I hear guitar fine through speakers, but can't record in sonar. I hit the record on a audio channel that is using Stereo SB Live! wave device input but nothing registers. Seems I may have had an issue like this before but can't seem to find the remedy.
 
Check your Volume Controls.

right-click your speaker icon on your taskbar>Open Volume Controls>Options>Properties>Recording>(place X's in all the boxes)>OK>(make the proper adjustments)

Do you have Sonar setup for simultaneous "play and record"?
