Hi. I just got a new m-audio midi controller to use in cubase for VSTs. However, for reasons I cannot understand, VSt's do not produce noise any more--not even from the window (like the lm-7 window where you can click on the little pads) I'm not getting any sound at all. I looked in "VST output" in the device options, but there is only one option, which happens to be my integrated soundcard that I don't use. Everything else works fine, and my creative soundcard (please don't yell at me; I seriously doubt its the problem, because it worked fine before) hasn't really given me too much trouble before. It's also working fine with straight audio in, which is what I usually do. Any tips? And yes, I'm monitoring.

If the only option in Outputs is your integrated soundcard, then wouldn't that be where the sound is going to?

Try plugging headphones into your onboard sound to see if that is the case.

I tried that with no luck. I can't understand why Cubase isn't recognizing my Soundblaster in this one area--it recognizes it for everything else. Anyone else ever had a problem like this? I already reinstalled the drivers.

Are you sure that you have your MIDI out in the track editor set to "LM-7"?
