No sound except in monitor - help!

Hello. I recently upgraded my motherbioard/cpu. I am using CubaseSX v1.03. I have a SBLive (ct4832) sound card and am using kX drivers. This set-up worked fine until I did the upgrade. Everything works except one thing:

When I add an audio track I get no sound. If I click the 'monitor' button the meters show the sound just fine and the sound comes through but if I hit record and try to record it I get nothing. If I take off the monitor I get no sound.

I use SX2 and I think it could be the same story. There's 4 different choices for monitoring, you can change them in File->Preferences. Eg. one setting only allows you to monitor when recording, one when you're not recording, just play-back. I think the setting I have it on allows you to turn on/off the monitoring when you need it. There's more about this in the help files under "monitoring".
This mightn't be anything to do with it though!

Click on the speaker on the toolbar, lower right part of your screen. Click properties and you'll see your options for choosing the sound on playback and recording.
