Hello all,

I have a MIDI keyboard that triggers the sampler in REASON and usually works fine. It is connected to a MIDISPORT 2x2 and goes into my computer. MOTU 828 is the interface I use. I'm not getting any sound when playing notes on the keyboard? However, I'm getting sound out of ReDrum and the default song plays fine. Anyone know what might be the way to get my trigger to normal?

This is a late reply but it seems no one has responded so here it goes.

I also have the MidiSport 2x2 and the Reason Adapted. Make sure in Reasons you go to Preferences - Midi and the midi output screen is defaulting to your MidiSport as the controller and highlight the midi channel you'll use (I use Channel 1). In Cubase, you need to make sure that you have a midi track opened with the MidiSport 2x2 A or B (whichever your keyboard is connected) as the INput and the Reasons instrument (e.g. SubTraktor I) you want as the OUTput. Next, you need to make sure a ReWire channel is opened (Check the Cubase pulldown menus to see where that is because I can't remember right now) and click on a couple of channels to open in Cubase. You should see them at the bottom of the Cubase screen.

Finally, make sure whatever instrument you want to play from your keyboard has its output connected to the ReWire channel you have opened (tab in Reasons and connect the virtual plugs, tab again). Click on the monitor button for the midi channel you created. You should here the sounds.
