early today i recorded drums and guitar, and could hear playback through the monitor outs of my q10 perfectly and was pumped that i finally got this thing set up. now i go back to open up the project, and no sound is coming out. i see the levels all going like theyre supposed too, but hear nada. whats the deal? tanks guys

tough to answer without being there.

I would check the Aardvark site, it helped me get my Q10's set up correctly.

The other thing you could do is fire off an email to ben in the tech group of Aardvark, he has always been good to me.

Can you open the Aardvark control panel? If you can't you'll have to reinstall the driver. The best way is to go to the aardvark website and download the newest driver and install it. Thats what I did.

I can add this. This can happen to me maybe one time out of every 500 that I hit play. If I hit stop and then hit play again I hear sound. I don't know if it's the Q10, or SX, or what, but since my system works great otherwise and it happens with such infrequency I leave it be. If this is the case you have probably already figured this out.

yea i can open the aardvark control panel. when youre in the asio multimedia setup, what do you guys have it like so you can input throgh all 8 inputs, and output through the monitor outs on the q 10? and what do you do with the global settings in the right hand bottom corner? any or settings you have in here and why you have them like htat would be great! i can input and i see the sound going through, i just cnat hear it! and i did a run simulation and it says everything is ok- but its not, kuz i cant hear it. thanks again guys

Which cubase are you using ?

Something that used to happen to me often in Cubase VST was It would all of a sudden forget which ASIO driver I was using in the audio properties (I forget the exact location as I'm still at work).

All I would have to do is reselect the proper ASIO driver for my sound card and voila, back to normal...
