No New Tape on eBay - Where'd it Go?

Ya know, I think new sealed Ampex/Quantegy open reel tape is actually getting scarce on eBay. There's used stuff, but I'm always looking for new Quantegy and NOS Ampex 456. I'm just not seeing it like I used to. I look almost every day and search eBay history now and then, which goes back two weeks, but nada - nothing - zip - zero...

No other brands like Emtec 468, 911 or 3M 226 either. Is the well finally drying up?

According to that NPR Radio piece we heard in the other thread a few days ago, yes! The well is drying up!! :eek:

Buy now, record later! :cool:
