no midi playback

just got hs 2002( but sonar users might be able to help) my proublem is i can hear audio trks. great, but no midi trks. i've gone to the options>midi devices> input-output box in cakewalk, but in the selection window it only shows mpu-201 as available midi devices. this(mp-201 is just a in/out port for hooking up ext. midi devices) its almost like cakewalk dosnt rcognize the microsoft wave table sw synth that is my prefered midi playback device in widows. dose anyone know how to change the midi devices in the midid in/out selection box in cakewalk. i really love the progam but am very frustrated not being able to access the midi drums, demo song & such in cakewalk. i've tryed cakewalk phones support but can never get through. hope to here for someone soon. oh yea my sys is pentIII 735 mzh. 30 gbhd 256k ram. thanx

I think I've found you're problem. You only have 256K of ram.
That's less than 1 megabyte!
Just kidding, I'm sure you meant 256 mb.

The options>midi devices> box is just for selecting the inputs and outputs, so by seeing your mp-201 there that is correct.

In sonar and with my Delta 1010, which has no wave table on it, regular midi files won't play back anything on my system unless I assign a soft synth to them.
If I play the midi file with windows media player I can hear it fine.

Which sound card are you using?
