No MIDI controller

I downloaded the demo of Reason just to mess around with it, not really sure exactly what it is or what it does.

Come to find out you need a MIDI controller... I don't have one.

Are there any software MIDI controllers?

I've searched on Google and found MiniHost but that's a VST host, I need a software MIDI controller.

Help. :(

Sorry I'm a complete newb when it comes to MIDI.
 
U dont need a midi controller to start messing around with it at all. Watch the video (same place you DL the demo) which should get u started. All the instruments can be driven by the step sequencer (matrix) or in the case of the redrum, its own sequencer.

Start a new track. Add a redrum drum machine and program away. It is set up just like the old roland 16 step drum machine, select the kit (the button with the folder on it) select the instrument, the buttons are the 16th notes of 1 bar

For the synths, add a subtractor then right click on it and choose "create->matrix pattern sequencer"
