This morning I changed to a new pc (W11).
And I have a Roland Cakewalk UA-25 Ex audio interface.
And now I don't have electricity on my cakewalk anymore.
I have checked the cable from the Cakewalk to the pc.
I have contacted my helpdesk. They couldn't help me out.
Can anybody help me solving this problem?
Greetings,.

You say it has no "electricity". Does that mean it USB light doesn't light up or does it not show up on your new computer.

Do you still have the old computer and cable? Does the interface work with that? If so, then check the driver's properties to see if it is 16 or 32 bit software. The USB power wiring hasn't changed, and the available power has actually gotten higher, so it shouldn't be starved for power. You might also see if you have an older style USB port (with the little black plastic piece rather than a USB 3 port with the blue plastic). I have run into a couple of instances where a device ran with a USB 2 port but had issues with a USB 3 port.

I'm wondering if the Cakewalk drivers are not compatible with WIn 11. The interface was introduced for Win XP, so the drivers might be 16 bit. Generally Win 11 doesn't run 16 bit software, even in "compatibility mode". Does the unit normally light up without the drivers, or does the driver need to load before engaging the interface via USB?
