No Audio

have my B1 connected to a Mic100 Ultragain pre amp which is hooked to my computer through a 1/4" TRS cable. When I connect it, the pre amp lights up but wen I try to record with the mic, the sound doesn't seem to make it to the computer. The software (Cool Edit pro) creates a file but it has no sound. I've made sure the mic wasnt muted on the volume options but it made no differance

It's obviously some kind of sound card issue. Just a guess, but it sounds like you don't have your soundcard set to record from whatever input you're plugging the preamp into. Or if you do have it set to record from the correct input, you have the volume all the way down.

Lemme ask you this...when you're monitoring, can you HEAR whatever's going through your preamp to your computer, even though it's not recording it? Or can you not even hear it?
