I see deaf people
worth posting for the track title alone lol

sorry if im bombing you guys...nice mellow one after this

if anyone gets a chance thats about the fourth bass ive stuck on it....i think its OK now but you lose objectivity after a day at it

and dont get the dalston night bus...get the N73..far nicer crowd :D

I think this sounds good  :) but I'm having to listen very quietly as the family is just to my left watching a movie. I will crank it up a bit later and listen for more detail.

This beat reminds me of a FIFA soccer video game, or that scene in Trainspotting where, after being told by his girlfriend that he can't spend the rest of his life doing heroin and listening to iggy pop, ewan macgreggor goes clubbing for the first time. Classic.

brilliant movie lol

I was brought up where it was set, Leith in Edinburgh, I cant remember it being as druggie back then...but i was off my tits on heroin at the time too :laughings: ;)

I kinda get a bit bored of the tracks after a day or two mixing etc...so Im worried its more filler than killer...which is a shame as i like some of the sounds I was getting :o

'Tis mellow mate.
For some reason Bronki Beat: Small Town Boy came to mind.
Some nice sounds in amongst things. I'm glad you didn't throw in "fez pleez" - they're all dead anyway.
It's all buses around me at present. For some obscure reason the state rail authority closes the lines down for repairs during the school holidays *& put on SOME buses, stranding schoolies for a fortnight so that they turn inward & attack their own communities.
I think the call & response parts go on a bit too long without variation & I don't think the vocal needed the 1st repeat so early - the 3rd time sits better.
I've not been able to fit Iggy with smack in terms of nod music. Still, killer soundtrack.
Bass doesn't seems to play as big a part this time - given your changes in that dept. I was surprised.
This is calmer & I prefer aggitation BUT it's also quite soothing.

thanks Ray...ive chopped down the two call and response parts..good call, even i was finding them tedious..ive added a bit more overdrive to the main bass...gives it a bit more oomph, left the vocal bit for now, just to see if anyone else finds the second one irritating

im not going to mention the bronski beat comment as you seem a good sort and i like you :D

just updating dropbox, thanks for lending your ears mate :)

Dude... You just keep getting better. If there was any doubt before, let it be known that this is definitely your area, man.

The thing I like most about it your incredible use of space and texture. With this type of music, it's very, very easy to create boring loops, because the songs tend to be so freakin' long and repetitive. Most people don't "get" this type of music anyway, so to be able to do it well is just awesome.

Your music (especially this piece) uses pretty much everything given you to make it interesting. There are "in your face" parts which are dry and slappy, and other parts dripping with verb. Panning is used often, well thought-out, and not sloppily done. None of the sounds sound like crap ripped off some low-quality sample site. All the sounds mix and mesh beautifully.

Listening to this (not my favorite song of yours, but definitely my favorite mix), I forgot I was listening to a "home mixer". Dude... Kudos.

If you ever make this crud into an album, put me on the list to buy it.

*VERY* well done.

Texture....yes. I love that 3-dimensional feel in your mixes, Keith. I'm trying hard to find something to criticise here....nope, nothing there. I've actually never been a big fan of house, techno and the like, but that's because I never heard it being done like you do it. You're definitely in your element here. I manage to find depth and meaning in your tunes, which most commercial/ dance tunes seem to lack. And that's where the difference lies to me......
I hope one day you'll get your music out to the masses.;)

It's too long. :laughings:

For realz though, it's pretty good. Again, I don't know what I'm listening to/for, but this one bored me more than some of your others. You've had songs hold my attention better than this one did. But whatever. I'm sure at a club with a drunk chick rubbing her sweaty cooch all over me it would be fine. :D

My only nit with the mix is that the kick seems a little boxy and could use more way lows. It's not really thumping me in the chest. I'm listening and I feel like something is missing, and that's what it is. More sub-low thump in the kick.

It just needs some super heavy guitar and death metal vocals :laughings:

you are way too kind Jason...

I do try to put a lot into it...even when I know that its really no more than a sketch I try to salvage something worth listening too...and I did the drums completely different in this which added another layer...it was a worthwhile exercise

your constant listens and comments are appreciated, it means its all still going in the right direction :)

btw..UAD + TC Powercore ftw...really takes things to a new level for me

The night bus to Dalston is just like the midnight train to Georgia.

Thanks Joe!

My stuff just isnt modern enough...i really need to spend sometime listening to whats happening in music now than making my own sounds...it maybe appeals to some of us here because we are in the same age bracket and even though its not a genre you listened to its still familiar...

Ive heard a few tunes that are cutting edge and to be honest they'd be laughed off here...i dont even know if i have the interest to make things that are so sparse

much better just having fun...and you can talk about wider audience lol, Ill be behind a couple here anyway ;)

ive got a horrible feeling something like that might happen lol

i used to get another bus from the same stop on a weekend night in Islington...nice trendy types on mine, making out...or heading for some late night joints in Stoke Newington...i got on the Dalston bus by accident one night...fights, drugs, drunks...it was brilliant :)

is the midnight train to Georgia like that ?

thanks for listening (again) G...Ill go give that kick a revisit..I had a kick sample on an earlier track that could kick your molars out but I cant find the fucker :o :)

Not the worst tune I've heard, that would be your last one.

It's a close second tho. :)
