Hey, so i have a akg d330 that is missing its xlr connector and therefore it is currently not usable. :( I have heard this is a really good mic and I would like to use it but i dont have too much cash. How would I repair this mic?

You got a few pictures?

Not at the moment, the mic is at a friends house. But the cables are still intact, it is just missing the actual xlr pins

If you have a couple of different male XLR connectors laying around, you can probebly take donor parts off one of them. Hook up the wires and there you go. I did it often.

I have one, they sound good for stage vocals, also work on toms, They were basically a AKG version of an SM58 in what they were designed for.

I used to use it when I did live sound as a floor tom mic as I also had a D320 and 2 x D310's this made up a good set of drum mics for toms (still had a sm57 for snare). I preferred them live to the SM57 as they were much stronger and could survive a drum stick hit, and they do sound good on drums / percussion.

Alan.

i do have one lying around ill try it when i get the chance.

also while im at it i have a Neumann KMi 84 with loose connectors, is there a way to tighten them without accidentally destroying it in the process.
