Hi all, I have my Delta 66 card in the PC and working well.
I have all the live guitars needed plus Bass & Drums, pianos, strings, etc etc from a Roland RA 800 straight into the Delta 66.
I use a digitech RP2000 guitar effects with Preamp built in taking care of the guitar side of this.
I now need to decide on a preamp for vocals OR a small mixer/preamp combined?
I have a Midiverb II which I intend to use to color vocals with.
I will record everything in a smallish room with a carpet on the floor and play & sing everything myself.
The guitars and rythmn sections will go straight in and only the vocals will require miking up so there will be no live drums getting miked up etc etc.
I will record a max of 4 tracks at a time into VST 24.
Budget will be around $300 to $400 US.
If anyone could throw some light onto the pros and cons of mixer/preamp vs preamp.....I would very much like to hear from you.
Best Regards
Alan
