Next Move?

okay I already recently got myself a condenser mic and a preamp I here to ask what my next move should be

a) a new soundcard (Im going for either the Audiophile 2496 or the Echo Mia) I dont know which would be better

b) A set of monitors (I still dont know which ones I want to get but my price range is around $400 I dont want to go over that but under would be great.... and thats total I dont really want to get a subwoofer right now but It might be in my list in the near future

Im only recording hip hop vocals and Im going for that wide in your face sound you hear in todays music so I dont need any more channels in the I/O also Im running Windows XP

I have used the M-audio 24/96 for ages and have never had a problem with it... in fact it's great!

With monitors... like anything 'vital' in your setup don't scrimp! £400 is a decent wad for a first timer. If you have it use it! But don't forget room acoustics (something I earned the hard way). If your dealingwith hiphop your gonna be playing around with alot of bass... Soak it up or it'll make everything tricky to mix!
