Hi. I'm newbie to forum and recording. I'd like to start recording digitally on a PC. I have a PC already, but was thinking about homebuilding one dedicated only to audio/media. I am not sure how to go about that, and am hoping bye and bye I can be instructed on this forum as to what specs and hardware I might need. Or maybe there are store bought PC's with specs that are dedicated to digital audio, I don't know.

Currently I have done a small amount of messing around with n-Track.

Before getting/hombuilding a PC dedicated to audio/media I will probably try to make my own CD's with the current PC set-up. Perhaps folks can help me achieve that goal first.

Rich.

I suggest you take a few days amd read all you can at https://homerecording.com/
How much money ya got to spend should be the 1st question you need to ask yourself and what kind of recording you want to do?
Do you want to record as if the hard drive was a tape recorder or do you plan on using midi and electronic type music?

Good luck new guy, Charva:D

Welcome Richard. Yes, do what Charva said. Search around the forums here first (there's a search function) and do some research on what has already been discussed. Then when you're ready to ask more detailed and informed questions people here will be able to help you better. Budget, how many tracks at a time, what equipment you already have, hardware, software, etc. will all come into play when making decisions. Good Luck :D
